The Airy Pestilence
The world awoke to the mortal kisses of the airy pestilence
Hatched in the far Easter land that breeches all things
Breathing unsavory lifelessness and meanness to all alike
With death-moth of pain and silence inducing fear
The tumult shook deep the worlds from its horizon to the zenith height
As it went still with un-capered loss and non-direction
Creating a vast dome of graves and repulsive lives
An unearthly catastrophe spreading like wildfire
We became Nile part, many couldn’t enjoy the ecstasy of life
As we shield ourselves from each other
With uneven silence colder than ice
Suppressed pain stings all mind with unkind memory
Of the newly birth horror that love neither rich nor poor
Many wondered? is this the apocalypse
Or some forgotten prophecy
Or just another bad noon dream
The city’s winged happiness has become stale with distraught
As all couldn’t walk the earth with manly gaunt and fervor
The uncouth sky laughs at our shame
Can we now boast of an indomitable earth?
This lesson too real to be just another lie
Its mockery laughter woke many in deep slumber
As multitudes grew wise with all forgotten truth
